Hotel & Resort Policies
We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly hotel experience. The following Hotel Policies have been established based on industry standards, management, and operational procedures. These Hotel Policies are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you. As our guest, by reading and signing your hotel registration, you are agreeing to abide by all of our Hotel Policies, terms and conditions, and procedures. These Hotel Policies are presented here to help promote our guests’ safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understanding between Centennial Plaza and the guest. Our Hotel Policies may change from time to time, so please check back often.
Smoking Policy
Centennial Plaza is a Smoke-Free hotel. For safety and to assure that our facility is not exposed to items or actions that create an odor which is unhealthy and objectionable to our guests and staff, and that is difficult to remove from the air, carpet, walls, and furniture, we do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense, cooking, cigars, candle burning, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in our facility. Anyone found breaking our smoking policies is subject to a minimum fee of $250 plus tax.
Guests are encouraged to notify Front Desk staff immediately if they smell cigarettes, marijuana, or other objectionable odors. This policy is not intended to stop people from smoking, but to regulate where they smoke and how it affects others. Marijuana is illegal in the state of Mississippi and is prohibited on our property at all times.
SMOKING AREA:
Our Designated Smoking Areas are outdoors and are indicated by the presence of ashtrays. These are the only areas where tobacco smoking is permitted, except in your own enclosed vehicle. Marijuana smoking is prohibited anywhere on the premises, including the Designated Smoking Areas or in private vehicles. The “Designated Smoking Area” may be changed or eliminated at any time without notice. For more information, please contact the Front Desk at 228-206-7880.
Candles, Incense, or Essential Oils
Candles, incense, and essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) are prohibited. These items and activities will be treated as smoking. Please see “Smoking Policy.” We ask that guests refrain from the use of patchouli oil and other strong-smelling plant-based or synthetic items or products that cause the room to be taken out of service due to objectionable odor. We reserve the right, and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Resort property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cooking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, loss of revenue, etc.
No-Cooking, Cooking Appliances, Combustibles, or Fireworks
Our guests, staff, and facility safety are extremely important to us. A minimum fee of $250 plus tax will be charged for cooking in a room or throughout the Centennial Plaza campus. Preparation of food by any type of cooking appliance including, but not limited to, hot plates, toaster ovens, water heaters, rice cookers, combustibles, open flames, barbecues, burners, heating appliances, or any other item intended for cooking is strictly prohibited. Open fires, flames or cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on property.
Centennial Plaza reserves the right to charge you for any costs incurred for taking such action or for any loss or damage caused to the hotel property, premises, or property, or to any hotel guests or third party as a result of your failure to comply with this policy. We also reserve the right to ask you to leave the hotel and remove your belongings from the suite immediately if we shall, in our sole opinion, deem that you have used the hotel suite in an irresponsible manner or in a manner that will compromise the safety of, or cause damage and/or harm to the hotel suite, the hotel premises, the other hotel guests, our staff, or any other persons or the reputation of Centennial Plaza, without any compensation and/or any reimbursement to you. We reserve the right, and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your suite or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fees, cooking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card. Guests must be 21 years of age and older. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card. We do not charge your credit card at the time you make your reservations. Your credit card guarantees your reservations. Please make sure to receive a reservation confirmation number when you make a reservation. Reservations must be canceled twenty-four (24 hours), hotel time, prior to your arrival date in order to avoid a one (1) night, plus tax cancellation fee. Centennial Plaza is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes.
Certain holidays, special events, and groups may be subject to a more restrictive deposit, no-cancel requirement, or other requirements.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-In: Starts at 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be available for a fee.
Check-Out: By 11:00 AM. Late check-outs may incur additional charges.
Check-In Requirements
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to check in at Centennial Plaza. In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, guests are required to confirm their identity by providing their valid government-issued photo identification (State driver’s license, passport, etc.) at check-in. A valid, signed, and pre-approved credit card in the name of the guest registration is also required. It is your responsibility to fully understand the manner in which your bank processes pre-authorizations and charges to your credit/debit card. Some banks may hold pending authorizations for up to 30 business days.
Payment Required Within Cancellation Period
Within 24 hours prior to your arrival, a one-night suite and tax will be charged to the credit card on file. This payment guarantees your reservation. This card will be required at check-in with a matching photo ID. In the event that your provided credit card declines, we will, unfortunately, have to cancel your reservation.
Authorizations
Upon check-in, we will authorize your credit card for the remainder of the stay, plus a $100 hold for security authorization.
How this works: A pre-authorization is a temporary hold of a specific amount of your available credit limit balance placed on your credit/debit card for the full amount of your intended stay, plus tax. All credit/debit cards are pre-authorized at check-in. Pre-authorization is not a charge to your account but a hold on those funds. Once your actual charge is posted at check-out, it can take anywhere from 24 hours to 30 days for the original pre-authorization to be removed by your bank. Generally, most banks release the hold within 3-5 days. You are responsible for being aware of how your bank handles all of your transactions, including pre-authorizations. We are unable to remove pre-authorizations directly through our hotel.
Guest Registration
We require valid contact information from the guest making the reservations, including first and last name, address, phone number, and signature. The names of all guests occupying the suite must be registered. Information regarding your license plate/car description may also be gathered at check-in for security.
Check-Out Procedure
Please check out with the Front Desk in person or over the phone by check-out time (11:00 am) so that housekeeping may begin cleaning your suite as soon as possible.
Early Departure
Guests who check out of the hotel after 11:00 a.m. and prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an early departure fee of one night, plus tax.
Special Requests
We will make every effort to honor special requests. All special requests are noted on reservations, and we will do our best to accommodate them. However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Checks and Check Cashing
We do not accept checks. We do not provide check cashing services.
Reservation and Payment For Guests By Private Third Parties
Generally, third-party payment is not permitted. In the case of paying for a family member, if you are not physically present at the hotel, we require prior completion and approval of a Credit Card Authorization form, including a copy of your driver’s license and the front and back of your signed credit card. You will be responsible for any and all damage and loss. We reserve the right to refuse reservations at any time for any reason.
Tax-Exempt Guests
Guests with GSA payment cards will be taxed or exempt in accordance with their individual card status. If tax-exempt status cannot be verified at check-in, you will be charged the taxes until verification is made.
Rates
All rates are quoted in United States currency, plus tax. Rates may increase without notice. Rates as advertised on the Centennial Plaza website or any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at the hotel’s discretion.
Right To Refuse Service
Centennial Plaza is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Federal or State laws. Centennial Plaza has a zero-tolerance policy in which we reserve the right to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our hotel. We may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies and the owners for the operation and management of the hotel. Centennial Plaza will refuse service or evict a guest for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substance and acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests; is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the hotel for an unlawful purpose; seeks to bring into the hotel: an unlawfully possessed firearm; or something, including an explosive or hazardous or toxic substance, that is unlawful to possess, and that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages, defaces, or threatens harm to hotel property or guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of the room, refuses to abide by the reasonable standards or policies established by Centennial Plaza for the operation and management of our hotel.
